[ send me this paper ]
A 20 page paper. Some people would argue that "ethical marketing" is an oxymoron. Still, there are marketers who have tried to use ethical standards within their marketing efforts. This paper takes an historical look at ethics in marketing since the 1960s. Numerous issues are discussed, such as the predominant philosophies guiding the last forty-plus years, the fact that marketing typically follows a utilitarian perspective (which is explained) and perhaps there is a need to use another perspective. Female Stereotypes in the Media.
[ send me this paper ]
(9 pp) The stereotype mindset may show women
as junkies, stick figures, mannequins, bimbos and
inanimate objects. In the past, even the physical
size of a woman has been open to stereotypes:
large women, even an Aunt Jemima is typically
depicted as a selfless nurturer, a glutton or a
buffoon, and that females in general, at least
through the media are often shown observing rather
than doing, if they are seen as 'doers' they are
often shown bumbling through, rather than as a
competent professional. Bibliography lists 9

Female-Exploitative Advertising
[ send me this paper ]
A 10 page research paper defining just what constitutes exploitative advertising. Each spring, the print advertisements of the previous year are pooled for judging. It's awards time again. Winning an award for an ad is a true cap feather, but winning ads are not necessarily the most effective. If an effective ad as one designed with the built-in ability to reach the audience for which it is intended, then one that grabs the attention of a panel of experts is not necessarily the one that will work best for its intended purpose. Calvin Klein indeed captured attention, but that attention was accompanied by accusations of exploitation and kiddie porn. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
